Oklahoma Cabin Rentals - There are many beautiful
areas in Oklahoma and a wide variety of cabin rentals
to choose from throughout the state, but we recently
visited Lake Murray State Park and thoroughly enjoyed
renting a cabin there.
My son is in college and I was looking for a place
where we could rent a cabin and ride ATVs that was
pretty close to Dallas, Texas. We found Lake Murray
State Park to be just what we were looking for. The
area surrounds a beautiful lake and offers a wide
range of activities. You can golf, play tennis, fish, boat,
hike, ride horses, ride ATVs or just hang out and relax.

State Park to be just what we were looking for. The
area surrounds a beautiful lake and offers a wide
range of activities. You can golf, play tennis, fish, boat,
hike, ride horses, ride ATVs or just hang out and relax.
Accommodations include many nice campsites, a lodge and restaurant, and many cabins to rent.
The cabin we stayed in is shown above. It was in need of a fresh coat of paint, but most of the cabins
in our area had recently been painted. Other than that it was in fine shape. The inside had beautiful
woodwork on the walls and ceiling and a nice stone fireplace. Our cabin was a cottage suite that
sleeps four. It had a living room with a fireplace and queen sleeper sofa, a bedroom with a queen
sized bed, a nice sized bathroom and full kitchen. The living room was equipped with a flat screen TV
and cable. It was just right for the two of us and a great place to hang out and relax when we were not
out doing things.

While you are in the area be sure and check out Tucker Tower a little bit south of the cabin area off
of 77S. This is a fun place to explore and the view of Lake Murray from the top of the tower is very
nice. Buckhorn Trail is a nice trail to get out and stretch your legs and enjoy the outdoors. It goes
through a beautiful wooded area, with some interesting rock formations, and some side trails take
you out to many peninsulas along the lake. Lake Murray has a great area to ride ATVs. You can bring
your own or arrange for a rental. Thrills and Chills provided the ATV rentals for our trip, and they were
wonderful to work with. Most of all, relax, have fun, and stay safe.

There were no pots, pans, dishes, silverware or cooking utensils in our cabin so plan ahead and
bring these items with you. The kitchen had a four burner stove, microwave, sink, coffee maker,
toaster, refrigerator and a small dining table with four chairs. The lodge and restaurant are just a
short drive from the cabins and have a great view of the lake. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch,
and dinner.
Towels, sheets, blankets, pillows and bedding were provided. The bathroom was very spacious and
had a good sized shower. Our cabin had a stone fireplace in the living room that worked well. There
was also central heating and cooling, so we were quite comfortable during our stay.
On the backside of the cabin there was a large cement patio with built-in benches and a cement
picnic table. This provided a great place to grill burgers and enjoy the outdoors. Just off the patio
there was a fire ring so we could sit out under the stars and enjoy a nice campfire.
